Product Overview
Of all the five cent nickels ever issued in Canada, 1925 is the lowest mintage date; it is the key date missing in most Canadian nickel collections. While mintages for Canadian five cent coins today are typically above 100 million, the original mintage in 1925 was just 200,050. Of the original mintage, only a small percentage has survived to this day, and of these, most are in well-worn condition.
This is a high quality example of this key date nickel, in “About Uncirculated” condition. The coin has been independently graded and certified as “AU-53” by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), the world’s largest and most respected independent coin certification company. Â
