Henry Birks & Company was established in Montreal in 1879 as a retail jewellery store. It became Henry Birks & Sons in 1893 when his three sons joined the business. Over the years they have designed and marketed their own brand of quality timepieces.

The brand has ultimately become a coveted symbol of Canadian luxury and craftsmanship. A country born a mere decade before, Birks wanted to celebrate with the people of Canada. Celebrate life’s precious moments, create memories and commemorate. Inspired by a land with astounding natural beauty and unique joie de vivre, Birks became a treasured part of Canadian heritage. Birks has, over the years, become one of Canada’s leading retailer, designer and manufacturer of high-end jewellery, watches as well as gifts.
